The main reason is; their advantage the advantage of html5 is it is very simple and easy to use, any new or beginner programmer can design web page very easily. First difference in html and html 5 is;

• In html doctype declaration is too longer but in case of html5 it is very simple and short
• Also character encoding in html is very complicated but in case of html5 it is very simple and easy.
• Html5 use cookies concept but html not use this concept.
• Html5 generally support all new browser. Html support only old browsers not support new web browser.
• You can easily draw shapes in html5.
• You can easily use audio and video on your web page by using html5.
